That may be a good part of it. Funny, I know quite a few people who use the AR-15 Platform to hunt with. Not using the Standard 5.56×45 NATO Cartridge (much too wimpy for Big Game hunting), but with uppers chambered in Calibers such as 6.5 Grendel, 6.8 Remington SPC, .300 AAC Blackout or even .50 Beowulf. So it could just be that those who have a Clue ignore these because they know whoever put this together is clueless, likes it that way and is therefore not worth arguing with.
