Why some people distrust atheists

Many Americans have a distrust of atheists. A group of researchers found that some of the distrust relates to beliefs about atheists’ family values.

Atheists have superior family values because, when we’re nice to our family, you can trust we’re not just trying to get into Heaven or avoid Hell.

However, further study lead to conclusive proof that people’s dislike of atheists is due to their over-representation by smug unfunny shits like Ricky Gervais.

Seeing the genius that created “the Office” devolve into the grimly unfunny hack he is today depresses the fuck out of me. His entire shtick for the past decade has been to say something neither particularly funny or offensive and then spend the next ten minutes going: “PHWWOAR! Do I offend you? Eh? Eh? Eh? Oh, does that bother you? Eh? Do I offend you? eh?”

Gervais is about as funny as a bout of colo-rectal cancer.
