Except when your farmer neighbor decides to spread manure on the Saturday morning of a holiday weekend when you’ve invited your entire family over for a BBQ on the one field next to your house (of his 800 acres).

Yup.
Totally fucking oblivious to the idea that folks might want to spend a holiday weekend hanging outside.
Dutch farmers around here are like this. They really don’t notice anyone else.
They’ll stop their pickups on the backroads having a chat…blocking the whole road and not even notice when you drive up (like when I’m taking my kids to school).
It’s strange.
To be fair to the guy though, it was one time 15 years ago, and after I pointed it out to him he hasn’t done it again….
