    But it is all good. I put mine into vodka and make a liqueur that has….um…interesting qualities.

    THC is both fat and alcohol soluble, and therefore you can make a cold tincture. If you put stems and crappy weed into vodka (or any other booze–the more alcohol, the better)it will most certainly leech the THC from the cannabis. As with most attempts at dissolving one substance into another, heat will increase the speed of the reaction and usually the total amount that can be dissolved. Note also that in high concentration alcohols you are heavily mixing two depressants, alcohol and THC, so the effects may compound each other.

    I had a bad experience with someone in a 12 step listening to a sponsor more messed up than they were.
    It seems like it has helped a lot of folks, but it did me wrong.
    Not sure how she turned out.

    If that 12-step program is anything like AA it helps about as many people as get out of drugs on their own.

    There’s a reason AA doesn’t publish its success rate.

    If you’re truly curious my wife is the Communications Director for an Addiction Rehabilitation program. I could ask her about a program and she could probably dig up information for you. Listening to the people who’ve gone through it all… fuck… that’s some rough shit. No one in for smoking a little weed, all the people she deals with are hardcore users.

    My shiny orange bottle of percocet with the white top tells me to stay far away from this thread. Thank god my ativan knows better.

    Fucking ativan, if I could get 2mg a day I’d pretty much quit every other drug forever. So much better than booze or weed.

    I have one of those orange bottles too. Unfortunately, no ativan, but percoset, lyrica, dilaudid, fentanyl and flexiril. I’ve never had ativan but I’ve heard “good” things about it. I miss my valium. *sigh*
