    aarpie: It varies from batch to batch, First time i had guinness i hated it, i thought it was over rated bullshit. Just another mass produced “good” beer. But recently i bought a few packs of Draught for Black and Tans and i had one can by itself. Of course i saw the nice cascady bubble effect and the thick creamy head. I drank it and i was surprised. It wasn’t shit.

    Loved the stuff since post-college. And yeah, I went throught the standard American ‘wtf’ phase where I was like, “who drained their oil pan into this fucking bottle?!”

    Straight, no-frills bottled version in the US isn’t anything like real Guinness, but I have to admit I like it because it has a kind of tang or bite to it. Bottled & canned ‘draft’ are pretty similar to what you get in a bar over here. But the true stuff you have to get in Europe; I’ve been to Ireland and the Guinness brewery. Smoooooth…and you can balance a penny on that head 😀

    Never seen that Simpsons, but from what I’ve heard it all depends on the KIND of bog water.

    I have it on good authority that guinness is actually made from crude oil. I only drink beers I cannot see through. Anything else is piss.
