The driver hit the left turn light and sheared off the light post at the base, and then kept driving on about 2 miles to Squires Four Pub in BC, where he stopped for more beer.
The truck was towed about 2.5 miles to the Vernon, BC towing yard, with the light still pinched between the two tow hooks and the bumper bent around it
It took several good hard pulls with a backhoe to get the pole free.

Tiki this is why you sgould stop drining.

How fast do you have to be driving to accomplish this? It looks like to only thing to stop the pole from going further was the engine.

    FTW I’m buying a Dodge

Seriously. Two and a half miles (thought Canucks did the metric trip?)?I don`t think a damn Humvee could have made it that far.

    tiki god

I’m going to go out on a limb and say that story is bullshit.

I’ve seen some worse damage on a crappier car and get father than that. My bro ran into a fence post at 40 in a camry. Managed to back out of the post, and drive his happy ass home(about 3 miles). The damage looked similar to this except that the front axle was bent up so he messed up the car even more by driving it.

It may not say much for the driver, but it speaks volumes for the truck.

Dodge…when you absolutely positively has to kill whatever you hit. Accept no substitutes.

This truck should be toast… It’s a full blown miracle that it made it half a mile from where it picked up the light. Are we sure this isn’t staged? Or a shoop?
