Didn’t get to see this until recently. I really liked it. The score was done by Yann Tiersen who is awesome. I recommended if you like artsy films.

Anyone who likes anything should watch it. I mean seriously.

    natedog

    her eyes are sooooooo big

    draikyn

nah, her skull is just tiny.

    tiki god

was one of the worst films that I have every personally watched. wasn’t worth my time, and I think I actually got a refund for how fucking horrid it was

    MacheteJak

Have you ever wanted to see some asshole get pranked into insanity in their own Home?

    WATCH this movie.

    Plus: HOLY FUCK Audrey Tautou.

    moutarde

this is an awesome movie. I really liked it too!

    HoChunk

I enjoyed it. Not for everyone, though. My wife thought it was insufferably twee –and she edits romance fiction for a living.

    HoChunk

CORRECTED BY WIFE: She thought it was insufferably precious.

I just like the word “twee”.

    TrikYodz

    the fuck does twee mean?

    brokenFace

Not as good as some of Jean-Pierre Juenet’s previous films, like Alien 4.

    MalcoveMagnesia

She’s never looked as adorable before or since that movie.

And for you preverts out there, as a French actress, you’ll be able to find plenty of n00die photos Google-able.

    TheLotusEater725

Oh man this movie kicks ass. Anyone who doesn’t like it is a communist and hates freedom.

Amélie: It’s better to help people than garden gnomes.

Everyone can relate to Amélie. Especially the lonely peoples.

Same here! If you haven’t already seen it, check out L’Auberge Espagnole, she has a small part in it & it’s a fantastic movie. 🙂
Good first post too, by the by!

You may also like “Dirty Pretty Things” with her, “Delicatessen” and “The City of Lost Children” made by the same director with Marc Caro

Definitely a film for the Mature and kind of heart.
If you loved Twilight, give it a pass….
I found that my English friends had some cultural disconnects though.
The opening scenes describing her mom dad and their lot is hilarious,
but humor sometimes doesn’t translate well.
The scene where she reconnects a man with his childhood brings tears.
    Best couples film ever…

Ya you really need to be at a high level like gx500 here.

If you wear horn rimmed glasses, use a Mac, and like the smell of your own asshole then you’ll love it.

If you’re one of those legitimately intelligent people or you have a future you might get bored.

You have to use the word film all the time too. If you use the word movie you can’t possibly be emoshitfag enough for this.

Oh and anyone who votes with that Satanic right wing you won’t ‘get it’ cause you’re not as smart as film lovers.

You also have to be a fucking retard

I’m tired of typing like that. What do I put so it fits in? / ?

Jeunet has a good eye but content wise he either picks abysmal scripts or makes them so.

    egnilk66

I giggled here. This is funny shit.

“Delicatessen” was good… and so was “Mic Macs”. I don’t know about calling shit “Film” or feelings or whatever. They’re just good movies. I like his brand of twistedness.

    asymon

Yes, the film was good, maybe more, but the music is the reason I remember this film.

OK, maybe ‘awesome’ is most overused word in internet, but i cannot find better one. I’m talking about this:

Yann Tiersen is da shit. He;s one of the reasons I want to be a composer. He has a minimalistic style that ends up being more expressive than most compositions that are 5x times more complex. It’s ridiculous.
