Florida wants a time zone to itself for half the year

The state has signed a bill to observe daylight savings year round.

As if my life wasn’t already fucked up twice a year when our servers get some kind of mismatched time setting.

    NOT a fan of this. We’ve tried it before as a country, and we went back to what it is now.

    So, you’re a fan of the increased traffic accidents every spring? You’re a fan of dorky dads getting the entire family up at 2am to reset the clock like that’s a funny joke and not an invitation for mom to slap him? You’re a fan of how it screws up air travel timing for everyone? You’re a fan of updating every single non-internet-connected clock you own?

    I’m not a fan of of any of those things, but I think florida setting itself to always be daylight savings is just silly.
