Sea lillies

A close relative of starfish and sea urchins. They are still around today, but were most succesful about 200 million years ago. Todays sea lillies are smaller than their ancestors.

    fracked again

    I have a few fossils of these, just not as nice as these. The ones that lived here a few hundred million years ago weren’t nearly as well preserved as this example.

    Why the dark colour though? They look more like burnt bones.
