Actually cruelty to animals or children is grounds for permanent expulsion from the CoS, again better than most other religions.
It’s funny how the group most people automatically assume must be evil have the strongest requirements for morality in their church. CoS requires members to take responsibility for their actions, none of that ‘its part of some plan’ BS.
