    … I don’t think that’s coke and mentos… they’re both liquids.

    Pepsi and Mentos??? Try Peroxide, Potassium Iodide and dish soap.

    This is a classic example reaction to make high school chemistry students excited.

    So… what’s with the Chemistry trolling?

    it kind of looks like a packing solution we use. We get these bags called “insta-pak” that contains two liquid chemical compounds. When mixed, they turn to foam rather rapidly as well as put off heat due to the reaction. Shortly after it cools, its solid.

    How much heat? Sounds like a good idea to replace air bags…if only to laugh my ass off.
