That sucks. But why didn’t you have the handbrake on??

Doesn’t take all that much force to move a car while the handbrake is on. My neighbours car got pushed SIDEWAYS onto the footpath by car turning out of the street across the road. There was a bit more damage that this case, but still, handbrakes only stop the wheels from turning, tires don’t actually have all that much surface area touching the road.

I can honestly say I never put the handbrake on, nor do I know anyone who does while driving an automatic transmission.

Look at the car. I highly doubt that comes with an expensive and heavy automatic transmission. They’re very common in America, but in other countries you’ll have a better chance of finding a manual transmission than an automatic.

Not to mention that paying the extra 2k dollars for an automatic, even in America, is a waste of money, unless buying a used car.
