Say what you want about the Japanese; Pepsi said yes to this and then paid for it.

I don’t drink either cos my dentist told me that it was bad for me when I was 13 years old and I have been a good girl ever since…
    …I miss my dentist.

Soda also softens the enamel of your teeth, so you have to be careful about brushing your teeth if you’ve just drank a soda.

2 cans of pop a day = 75 lbs of sugar a year. Actually, it’s even worse, because it’s 75lbs of high fructose corn syrup a year, which your liver has no idea how to deal with.

My friend drinks whiskey like it’s his job. His doctor was concerned, and asked him what he mixed it with . He said, I drink it with a little water. The doctor was relieved that he wasn’t mixing it with pop instead.

Yeah, the doc was more worried about the pop than the whiskey.

HFCS is why America is fat. Most other countries put actual sugar in their pop, but we just keep chugging that corn here in the states.

Who drinks two cans of soda (sorry, Californian) a day? I never get more than three a month. Coffee, on the other hand, will be the death of me.

I used to have a housemate who would kill a sixer of coke every night before bed. He got headaches & the shakes if he didn’t drink it. Most adolescents think nothing of drinking at least a liter of pop every day.

I gotta admit, I’m a bit of a soda junkie. Of course it’s diet soda, but I doubt that improves the benefits or lessens the bad effects. Most of the time I drink water or iced tea, but periodically (like now) I go on a soda binge.

HFCS is the same biochemically as sucrose. Your liver can deal w/ it just fine. Fructose suppresses the “I’m full” sensation, so you keep eating. The problem is the amount of it that we eat. HFCS is cheap, so food producers use a lot of it. Foods are sweetened now, that weren’t when we were kids. Also, it’s the rate at which we ingest it. Drink a whole can of soda in a few minutes, wait 15-30 minutes and you’ll want another one. It’s really about the ‘how much’ not the ‘which kind’ that we have to do something about.

Pespiman! Still remember playing it as a kid on PS1.

Attention, colaphobes: if SODA is the worst vice out there –the one that moves you to post long, bathetic warnings detailing its evils– you lead some charmed motherfucking lives.

Yea most of us probably do – dont you?
