Even though your opinion is that the object in question is mostly to do with shit, it doesn’t change the fact that it is, in fact, a piece of plumbing. Or, to resolve my impromptu metaphor that was mostly just an excuse to say shit on the internet, in this case, a work of art.

Kandinsky can be understood in cultural terms as a product of a cohesive, coherent and semi-linear development of artistic thought. His concept is his art, and his art is a way of looking at the world and the structures that control it.

That’s okay. By the way, it’s supposed to be doodles, so it’s not like you are misinterpreting it or anything.

Would you rather see drawings of anthropomorphic cartoon animals from deviantart.com?

Agreed with the previous post that said you’re not missing anything. It’s part of a particular movement in art and he was one of the pioneers. One could just as easily look at a perfectly representative portrait of something that exists in life, and say “That’s not art, it’s draftsmanship.” You think Kandinsky couldn’t draw a boat?

I may not know what I like, but I know a lot about art.
