that meatloaf “cake” with mashed potato frosting is PIG DISGUSTING
March 20, 2009 at 9:57 am
I cook meatloaf (italian style) and usually serve it with mashed potatoes, but it’s the catchup that kills me in taht picture. That and it’s all kinda mushy looking.
bleh.

@CathyLong: The “Meat Cake” doesn’t look as bad as the rest of the stuff. It’s just meat loaf and mashed potatoes arranged to look like a cake.

they’re usualy insanely dry. I hate them for this fact alone. I think its just another excuse for Scots to drink more beer

Don’t forget that you have to dip it in spicy mustard and wash it down with beer! And the sausage is usually seasoned, not plain. The bar near my house gives you three at a time. Great tasting, but you’ll regret it about a day and a half later.

I make my meatloaf w/ ketchup on it, then mashed potatoes on top and broiled for a couple of minutes. Similar to Shepard’s Pie. It’s really good.
I’ve never seen a Happy Meal Pizza, but there is a pizzeria here that makes an All American Pizza; it’s made w/ butter sauce, franks and french fries. It looks absolutely disgusting.

It might surprise you American folks that these are really nice. However just to clarify, there’s no actual Scotch in them.

Mmm, I could go for a couple of these, maybe throw in some haggis, mushrooms, and a fried tomato. Yum.
March 20, 2009 at 4:36 pm
It’s a breakfast sandwich… in nugget form!

I’m with parasitegod (and the other UK people here), how has this normal food item that we’ve been eating regularly for decades escaped the US?
You don’t know what you’ve been missing, scotch eggs are up there with pasties, sausage rolls and pork pies…
March 21, 2009 at 10:05 pm
@parasitegod: @Monkey1978: You also like Spam.
March 22, 2009 at 1:38 pm
@nyokki: LOL I also happen to like spam. And I wish they sold scotch eggs on street corners in America… 😀
March 22, 2009 at 3:16 pm
I have to say that these and a couple of beers equal Yummy
March 23, 2009 at 2:33 am
@Heavypat: It amazes me, the things I like to eat when drinking beer. 2 beers and I love Andy Capp hot fries, deep fried hot dog and room temperature pizza is the best of all.
March 23, 2009 at 9:58 pm
@nyokki: wait… When you say deep fried hot dogs, i take it you aren’t referring to battered dogs of any kind right? You are actually talking about naked, deep fried wieners?
Ok… that came out wierd, but watev…
March 24, 2009 at 2:13 am
@Phyreblade: That’s exactly what I mean. Totally gross sober. a few beers…yummmm.
