Because it’s the only game from 2013 that I’ve played ^_^

Why you’d want to ?
– it’s a very nice RTS with cRPG bits,
– it’s more “customizable” than “Wings of Liberty”.
– the story.

Tomb Raider 2013

My submission for 2013 Game of the Year

I’m usually a FPS player and prefer those to be open world / sandbox style.

The reboot for Tomb Raider however is one of the best games I have played this year.

It is the traditional 3rd person linear style that TR has always been, but with major improvements.  The controls are spot on, the camera work is awesome and the upgrade system is very rewarding.  Many events are scripted and only require some quick controls to get through, though because of this the game really plays and feels like a movie.  When it comes time for combat, there is a lot of close quarter hand-to-hand and through experience you get to chain together attacks.  The tombs themselves are option but will reward you with upgrades.  There is no combat required within the tombs, only puzzle solving.  Visually it is one of the best console games I have seen.  Add in a pretty cool story line with good voice acting, and you have yourself a very polished game.
