    Caffeine (the program) is another option if you can run it on your machine. I know some places disallow software, and others disallow the USB port. If both are not allowed, going to have to buy yourself something that shakes the mouse.
    Or, if you’re able, find an employer that doesn’t feel the need to spy on you.

    there’s physical solutions too, something like a fan that moves that gets strung up to a mouse.

    Some of the simplest physical versions is to place the mouse sensor over a watch with moving arms. If it’s big enough, the sweep of the second hand is enough.
