Addams Family Values

Directed by Barry Sonnenfeld. With Anjelica Huston, Raul Julia, Christopher Lloyd, Joan Cusack. The Addams Family try to rescue their beloved Uncle Fester from his gold-digging new love, a black widow named Debbie.

Second in the series of two movies, another that I’m not sure if I’ve seen before or not. If I did, it didn’t leave a lasting impression on me, which now that I’ve ‘officially’ seen it and am logging that i’ve seen it, is surprising, as this is a great movie. Sure it resuses the “everyone’s after my money” trope from the first film, but this is by far the better version of it.

What wasn’t very welcome though was the song at the end of the movie, what the fresh hell was that?

“Everyone’s after my money” was half the episodes of the TV series. Which is weird, because the Addamses would just give you some just for asking. I could walk into their house and just start wearing their clothes and eating their food and they’d be all “well, this person clearly needs a family so let’s adopt him.” Boom, I’m getting an allowance that pays better than any job I ever had.
