He’s not smiling in that picture. That’s a chimpanzee ‘fear grimace’. Perhaps if they’d been able to explain a few things to him in sign language along the lines of ‘You’ll be strapped in. There’ll be shaking. But you’ll come home and you’ll get an apple for being a good boy,’ he wouldn’t have been so terrified…..No. Strike that. It makes it even worse.
