    well kerry obviously was winging it and didn’t think assad would go for it, but assad apparently saw a way to knock down the false flag. good for him

    Assad isn’t doing what the US wants. Russia (Putin) is taking credit for Kerry’s slip (which in the same sentence he walked back showing it wasn’t something he planned to say). Now Russia gets to keep Assad in power, look like they’re leading the effort to reduce Chem weapons, and preserve their military interests in the Naval port and other bases they have in Syria. We just look fucking stupid.
