I’m a huge Alien fan, and this could be so cool, but where is the secondary jaw and why is there a spine in its head?

    fracked again

Yes. Pharyngeal jaws needed. Extra spine is odd, but why not?

I’m sure, being an aquaman, you already know this… but http://scienceblogs.com/pharyngula/2007/09/06/jaws-of-the-moray/

I think the 2nd jaw is hidden by the skull and camera angle. I also think it’s attached to what looks like a spine in it’s head. (allows for flexibly and for the jaw to extend out of the main jaw)

Oh, someone already said it. Props to you.

Perhaps the spine is part of the secondary jaw.

Xenomorph has exoskelleton, why would it need a inner structure?

Turtles have skeletons, why would they need a shell?

(I know the shell is part of the skeleton, but still).

    I don’t know, but that’s a great observation.
