i got my flower thing at a claire’s or an icing for around $1.50. i thought it was kind of garish because it has rhinestones in the middle, but it’s grown on me (ha). it has both a hairclip and pin on the back, so it can ride on my bookbag when i’m not feeling the hippie vibe.

hair curl thing: called Victory Curls. I got into them while awaiting the release of Bioshock II, and was happy to find dozens of youtube tutorials. they unfortunately require patience (and enough bobby pins to set off security alarms) but I think the end result is interesting for fancy days. In the picture i’ve got a smaller curl on the other side for balance and stability.
