    ALT CTRL DEL…
    Dyslexic much ? 😉

Gotta get that doorbell button though !

    tiki god

are you one of those people that are backwards in the head, but think it’s everyone else’s fault that you can’t read straight?

do you need someone to hold your hand when you cross the road?

Do you need the ‘special’ menu when you eat out?

    gx5000

    Yes Tiki I do..
    It’s been a long 22 years in IT…
I’ve retired everything from Mainframes to PC’s…
But even though I’m the only one in the office that remembers edlin, I still prefer
    CTRL ALT DEL ;-P

not dyslexic, OCD. he couldn’t stand not having his pillows alphabetized.

And yes, i will be breaking my old keyboard shortly to recover the Enter key, and modify my doorbell.

Works that way to 😉 I had to try ALT CTRL DEL.. just a bit harder to do fast… 😛 Maybe the photographer learned it that way?

I prefer Ctrl+Shift+Escape to Ctrl+Alt+Del, only needs thumb and index finger on one hand to press. Much easier combination.

Yeah, but Ctrl+Alt+Del and Ctrl-Shift-Esc do different things in different configurations.

On my work laptop Ctrl-Alt-Del opens the little window that allows me to lock the computer. If I don’t have a windows keyboard hooked up, this is the fastest way to do that.

Not every CADs for the task manager.

    tiki god

why not just press win+L ?

    RSIxidor

“If I don’t have a windows keyboard hooked up, this is the fastest way to do that.”

The laptop doesn’t have Windows keys. Its kind of old IBM T43 for work.

    Ben1605

Both open task manager for me.

    And Tiki
I’m on XP, and it opens task manager.

    RSIxidor

“do different things in different configurations.”

    Ben1605

I know what you said, I’m just saying that on mine they both do the same thing, so I prefer to use Ctrl+Shift+Escape on my computer.

    RSIxidor

Well then that’s just dandy. As a lion.

    nyoki

CAD gives me the option to switch user, lock computer, task manager, log off, change password.

    tiki god

What is Ctrl+Shift+Escape supposed to even do? it does nothing on my XP install

    RSIxidor

Its supposed to open Task Manager. Its done it on every machine I’ve owned for some time now.

Clear private data for me on Vista, FF.
