Slather those in some country gravy and i’m having flashbacks of a weekend in South Carolina. Hot damn those would be good.
Mom used to make biscuits when I was a kid. Cut lard into flour and baking powder. Add milk until the right consistency. (she never measured anything). Roll out on floured board and cut. Dip each one in bacon grease and cook in a hot oven. They rose up almost triple in size as they cooked to a golden brown. Light and airy. Delicious. DAMN, I miss her cooking.
