What I really can’t stand, is when people assume they know what god’s will is. I don’t believe that if there is a god, that he has a will.
But to reassure yourself like that, that no matter

It’s like claiming that god must be American, in his case.
And I don’t need to mention fundamentalist Muslims,

Well, I see we have two completely different opinions from here on. I never believed that WMD ever existed. I don’t necessarily think that Bush was responsible for 9/11, but I’m convinced he abused that ‘opportunity’.
Yes you’re right about Saddam. But I’ll have to see some links for the stories about the torturing of children etc. I have never heard of that. I know you think the attempt of fixing the problems in Iraq was to some part successful. My friend, you are wrong. The war has done nothing good for the Iraqi people. Nothing. Over one million Iraqi people died as of now. Have you seen pictures and videos of the country? It’s absolutely destroyed. It used to be a beautiful place, even with insane people like Saddam in charge.

There is this well known Iraqi dentist who has a blog where he reports what’s going on. Just to show you how much the Iraqi people hated Saddam. Here’s an excerpt:

“I remember when the US soldier covered the statue’s head with the American flag, I felt great anger, not because I love Saddam but because this is the Iraqi president and they are making fun of him, and humiliating us, they could just bring down the statue and the message will be clear, did they have to do that, at this moment I turned to the professor who I really admire and saw him crying with an angry red face, I was shocked to see him like that, I looked at my family and they were so grim and angry, then I saw my father’s eyes filled with tears (…)”
