Well fancy meeting you here >:). If you win the bids you have in, you should post some picks. There were some nice looking watches in there. And yea, this is Dave. Looking forward to reviving a few of those watches for you when you get them :). Think I'm going to have to post a few of the ones I have, now that my account here finally works.

A quick google search will turn up quite a number of them. The question is, do you want mechanical or quartz? This is a reasonable mechanical one http://www.amazon.com/Charles-Hubert-Paris-Mechanical-Pocket-Watch/dp/B002NSMFEG/ref=pd_ts_watch_5?ie=UTF8&s=watches and is about as low a price as you want to go for mechanical. I recommend against the quartz huntercase watches, the ones with the flip tops, as they tend to be poor quality. But the quartz open face have good models as low as 19. As with the old ones, the huntercase watches have large openings for the lid sprin and latch, and are not the least bit water resistant. If it needs to stand up to more then light use, then always go with an open face watch such as this one, http://www.amazon.com/Colibri-Outdoor-Pocket-Bottle-PWX097005/dp/B000XY2VGE/ref=pd_ts_watch_8?ie=UTF8&s=watches which can take rather a bit of abuse. - Comment on 1888 Illinois Hunter Case 17 jewel (2011-02-06 15:40:52)
Nice looking watch. I repair them IRL, as well as clocks. Be sure to get it oiled by a pro every 3 years, and cleaned every ten, if you carry it a lot. The hunter cases only keep out low flying birds, everything else gets right into the watch through the holes for the lid spring. It is really amazing what they did back then, and how much of it was by hand. Any chance of posting some shots of the inside? If you ever need parts for it, drop me a line. I go by David42 and I get my mail through gmail. - Comment on Texas (2008-08-11 12:08:07)
Here's a word for you to look up 'hypocrisy'. How can you complain about the use of the word 'nigger' while using 'whitetrash' and 'cracker'? Clearly you do not hold your self to the same standards that you hold the rest of the world to. Personally I found the pic and comment to be rude, offensive and funny. On the up side, you did inspire me to finally create an account.
