because foreigners drawing borders in that area has worked so well in the past... also, nice touch that is without the palestinian territories. i take it they'll become israeli citzens then?
  • Comment on Obama v Trump crowds (2017-01-26 12:57:02)
maaan, this is bullshit does this look like "empty" to you? http://edition.cnn.com/interactive/2017/01/politics/trump-inauguration-gigapixel/ I am only guessing here, but I don't think that particular news agency would be prone to help DT by posting a near perfect photoshop there... and yes, Obama drew a bigger crowd, but so what. Do not get me wrong here, I wouldn't trust Trump with a SuperSoaker, much less would want him in any position of power....but alas, here we are. Since he is not in power in the country that I live in, I am able to laugh (since his election) about the fact, that is possible for THAT MAN to become president. I just hope he'll do the war thing less frequent than Obama... Speaking of which - HC would have been worse imo

Since we're SPOILERing away anyway - I actually think the fungus-angle was played rather well. My horror recommandation for those looking for something of the "fresher" variety would be "Birdbox" by Josh Malerman

  • Comment on shot by toddlers (2016-04-20 11:46:28)
Great post. This shows how most antagonism towards any group/minority is usually not driven my any form of rational argument but instead just a vent for propaganda and self-loathing fueled hatestuffs. Any one of those toddlers is a potential Hitler/Ghandi/doctor/hobo/whathaveyou - his genes and the life he lives will play a mayer role in what will become of him. Obviousliy the USA has gun-related problems that most countries just don't have - so if safety/security really were the main political concern shouldn't the effort to stop said toddlernators be at least about equal to that of keeping those brown people from whogivesafuckistan at bay?
  • Comment on The 5th Wave review (2016-03-30 12:20:09)
Jesus, what a turd. I actually questioned my "liking the book" after watching this. But alas, no....the book, by comparison, is quite entertaining.(it had more action/deatch/alienplot) + it's a trilogy anyway - so much for a missing resolution. if the fuck up "Red Rising" like this (don't see how they could, but who knows) I think I'll vomit. this review of yours nicely pointed for me out how far ranging taste can be btw - nvm that, but this deserved mor than this "slap on the wrist" compared to BvS....imho.
  • Comment on Lena Meyer-Landrut (2016-02-22 13:43:43)
ah yes, Germany has done far worse than her. for slightly more Lena https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tC76tIp0kBk ~1:30 she's the on in the cage.
  • Comment on Rachel Ward (2016-01-21 12:53:37)
I've seen my share of movies in my time - but this still is about the funniest movie I have seen. Steve Martin practically invented the nail in this film. btw. his character is not a perv, he's just "adjusting your breasts".
  • Comment on Health Benefits of organic produce (2015-09-22 12:10:07)
If you define healt-benefits as meaning "more healthy stuff in it" be my guest, but as it actually my very well mean "likely having less poison in/on it" - this "science" doesn't convince me. if something I have to eat(Food) a)has even a slightly chance of i) being "clean" , ii) allowing the source-animal an at least acceptable existance and b) tastes better[try the meat] - my choice is made. Don't get me wrong - if there is a quick dollar to be made by screwing other people, it will happen...in the organic trade as well, that is. none said it better than Clint himself "If you want a guarantee, buy a toaster".
  • Comment on Gothic Car (2015-04-01 11:43:32)
heh, so someone else DID actually watch Mystery Men. i loved the concept of only being able to turn invisible when no one watches. that's just genius

that's what you get for pretend-living in a shittily constructed model home. george-oscar ftw!
  • Comment on Shrike attack (2015-02-01 01:59:34)
Funny recently started my 2nd reading. I agree that no illustration could ever do the thing justice, this one's really nice though. If you haven't read it, I totally recommend his works "Illium" and "Olympos" as well. No space opera stuff here - that is one ridiculously well written, 5000yrs spaning motherfucker of a scifi/fantasy adventure. if you get past the first 200pages or so of "wtf" in the beginning that is...
  • Comment on selling jesus (2014-10-19 03:18:34)
too bad he didn't have the mob on his side - wrong name I guess http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlADJpNtS_s
  • Comment on Robopocalypse + Hyundai = Terror in the Streets? (2014-07-03 16:31:58)
The novel after that "Amped" also fits that description; but its not quite so good, especially action-wise.
