So? Obama is blamed for turning the US socialist because he wants, for example, the whole society to fund the health care of those who can't afford it on their own. Am I saying that's what makes a country socialist? No. Should american conservatives seriously unbunch their knickers? Yes. Should people stop using completely hollow tags like 'socialism' and 'capitalism' because that is outdated cold war vocabulary and using them makes you look like a Reagan caricature? Yes, please.

I'm not sure what the circumstance that the steps in the left diagram are in the wrong order is meant to tell me. Maybe that the creator didn't know too much about scientific processes. But that would only confirm my feeling that most interweb atheists aren't the brightest bulbs in the luster.

Well, the basic difference may be that the Inquisition punished the negative attribute of NOT being a certain form of 'religious', while regimes propagating atheism as the way to go (the USSR, the PR of China, North Korea) punish the positive attribute of being 'religious'. Also, I object to the preposterous claim that atheism equals critical thinking. 9 out of 10 atheists I've heard blathering about how stupid religious people are were completely unable of questioning the atheist mantras they read somewhere on the internet.
