True, but this one is set somewhere between Mortal Kombat, and No More Heroes.
no no, this is the one that he’s hopelessly underskilled and ill prepared but ultimately comes out on top at the end.

This is the best version of your typical Cera flick, with homage to old school video games.
I liked this movie, and I also don’t understand whats with all the cera hate? I understand that in all his movies he plays pretty much the same character but in all seriousness so do 75% of all actors.
Because the character that he generally plays is a socially inept super-wuss who somehow still manages to get the girl and learn some sort of life-changing lesson. This is not typically how it works in the real world, and it can also be difficult to dissociate the actor from the character(s) when it’s the only role the actor ever plays.
I hate 75% of actors.
As actors, not as people, I’m sure they’re lovely people.
but you need to understand that a lot of the time its not their choice, its called type casting and it happens all the time.

Because it’s not possible that someone would dislike him for being a bad actor? Of course it isn’t.
Don’t worry though, if people without taste keep buying tickets for his movies he will be just fine.
no, I said that because of the way you answered, I asked a serious question and you gave no thought to it and responded like I was stupid for asking it. what I was trying to make you realize was that maybe when a director sees a character like this they automatically pick him and thats why he is in these movies because he is the best at that kind of character.

I have not read the comic books this movie is based on, but if the protagonist is best portrayed by this teenage wonder of awkwardness, then I will find other literature to keep me occupied.
