Lots of really good art, different ships in various situations, they tried to give the images some backstory but a lot of it comes across like meh fanfiction.

There were others like this Interstellar Queen pic, done by various artists, ships either wholly or partially encased in crystal, like some kind of unexplained Sargasso Sea in space.

Damn… now I want to dig that book out… I also have a similar one that’s set up more like a spotter’s guide to different spaceships, titled Spacebase 2000… also compiled by Stewart Cowley.

I had a book that had a few Angus McKie paintings of the same space liner…long gone now but I remember the design….
