According to MacFarlane, adding the subtitle New Horizons was part of underlining the shift not just to a new viewing home, but into a bigger better-looking version of the show.

Why? They already made the decision, years ago, to throw this show in the shitter.

They’re polishing up a show they’re about to throw away. He can make 30 years of family guy and american dad but burns out after the first 2 seasons of his passion project.
