My sister rode a zebra at a circus in Anchorage, Alaska. (You know that a zebra in a circus in Anchorage, Alaska HAD to be abused) The zebra bucked her off. She hit the ground HARD. My sister hurt her shoulder. It was REALLY funny.
I believe the question was asked back in Victorian times whether zebras were able to be domesticated or ridden. The answers were found to be (a) no, temperament is too vicious, and (b) no, the ankles are too weak to carry any great weight.
Hence my belief that this picture is of a painted horse.
I concur. That doesn’t look like a zebra other than the stripes.
