Rep. Matt Gaetz, who’s facing a federal investigation into sex trafficking allegations, was recently denied a meeting with Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate as the ex-President and his allies continue to distance themselves from the Florida congressman.

    Dude tried to get a blanket pardon. Blanket pardons aren’t real. You have to be pardoned for a specific crime that you have been convicted of. And accepting the pardon is an admission of guilt.

    Not strictly true. See Gerald Ford’s pardon of Former President Nixon, who was never even indicted. But, as a practical matter, you’re not very far off base. A pardon that wasn’t very specific could be argued about in court, and possibly rejected by the courts.

    he’s plenty stupid enough. the thing is he doesn’t do ANYTHING for ANYONE else if he doesn’t directly and immediately benefit.
