Sputnik

Directed by Egor Abramenko. With Oksana Akinshina, Fedor Bondarchuk, Pyotr Fyodorov, Anton Vasilev. The lone survivor of an enigmatic spaceship incident hasn’t returned back home alone-hiding inside his body is a dangerous creature.

I’ve mentioned this previously, but I struggle with movies that have subtitles, it takes way too much motivational energy to just sit on my couch and completely engross myself in a film, even one that’s as visually appealing as Sputnik. Originally fillmed in Russian language, it’s the story of when an alien being falls in love with a simple Russian cosmonaut and they go on wacky adventures killing everyone around them. It’s a pretty good movie for what it is, with absolutely fantastic creature work, both practical and CG.

Check it out if you know Russian or can stand subtitles.

Better than many U.S. SciFi movies.
