LOVING JSAMN, particularly Marc Warren, who appears to be channeling Charles Gray. I also enjoy the ominous creaking sound that accompanies his every appearance and his habit of attributing his own ideas to other people. “What a marvelous idea Stephen,” has now become a catch phrase in our house. There now follows a compare and contrast exercise.

Quite liked the series. Although I missed the last couple of episodes and I’ll have to catch up with those. Great casting all round I felt. Especially enjoyed Bertie Carvel as Jonathan Strange, hope to see him in more prominent roles after this. Maybe now I’ll get round to actually reading the book itself which has been sitting here for about 5 years.
Thought all the casting was great, but yes, Bertie Carvel really outstanding. The book itself is a thing of wonder and I urge you to start reading it asap.
