People love to use words like ‘could’ and ‘possible’ for this sort of thing using definitions that don’t match their regular usage, but that definition is so broad as to be completely meaningless. I can conceive of something that might cause a regular quarter, when flipped, to come up banana instead of heads or tails… but that doesn’t mean that it ‘could’ happen. Likewise with the ghost scenario.
