    OH WOW.

More useless facts pertaining to primatology – Chimpanzees are the most political animals on the planet, apart from us of course. Leadership in a group is in a constant state of flux. I think the chimp we see furiously galloping along in one shot is Koba. They’ve already seeded the idea that Koba will challenge Caesar for power. Only problem is that Koba is (I think) meant to be a Bonobo. Bonobo’s are the least aggressive chimps around. They have a matriarchal society and resolve conflict with sex. Which is why you don’t see many in zoos. Don’t want the kiddy-winkles traumatised by scenes of constant shagging. It also wouldn’t do much for the movie dramatically or help get it the rating it needs to be a commercial success. I’m still chomping at the bit to see it. *Does pant-hoot to indicate excitement*

I still think the original series was better than this one.

I agree. The first movie is a masterpiece, the sequels get progressively weaker, with the odd outstanding moment. I still love the reboot.
