    1. Korinthian says:

No sane/adult Christian believes the Noah’s ark story anyways. I mean, it rivals the Church of Scientology’s nuclear bomb volcano Boeing story in stupidity.

Doesn’t quite reflect too well on the rest of the book.

      • RootieTootieAimAndShootie says:

C’mon bro, really? This isn’t even from the ark story. Besides, it’s amazing how many errors you’ll find in the Bible if you’re looking to invalidate it. Unfortunately, then you completely miss the rational explanations for the surface level discrepancies.

Actually, Noah’s Ark has been found in Turkey. The Turkish govt have built a visitors’ centre there (you can Google it, and from the map you can see the Ark on Google Earth). Oh, and while I’m at it, how can you believe in evolution when there are no intermediate species and the earth is still hot? (I trust you understand that hot things cool down, especially over ‘billions of years’ haha!)

    2. Bopf says:

      1 Kings 23 doesn’t say that.

    3. Reaver says:

      +/- 10% … good enough for Gov’t work.
Also, I imagine their measuring accuracy wasn’t exactly very good way back then.

    4. HoChunk says:

God pretty much establishes how he feels about knowledge with the Adam & Eve story.

    5. fracked again says:

This is a bad argument. It describes something that is circular in shape, but not necessarily a perfect circle.

    6. goatsgomoo says:

Well, if they’re only measuring with 1 significant figure, that’s as close as they can really get.

    7. impaciente says:

Spelling errors render this argument invalid.

    8. RealityCheck says:

Oh good GOD not THIS again.

      HOW THICK WAS THE RIM?

    9. Michael thompson says:

Actually, the original Hebrew has some untranslated bits (for the circumference measurement, I think) that can be analysed to be a closer approximation to Pi than the standard ’22/7′ rough value.
