Insufficient magnetic field to prevent solar winds from stripping the atmosphere away. Nice idea, but not as easy as it looks. The planet’s lack of a magnetosphere may not be insurmountable, but it’s a significant problem to overcome.

Haven’t you ever seen The Core? All we gotta do is go to the center of Mars, blow up a few nukes and bam! Instant magnetism! Mars will be the bell of the ball! All the bitches will want to be Mars. All the jocks will want to fuck her. Mars will probably eventually be a stupid bitch and not close her legs, and have to live off welfare for the next 20 years of her life.
