    Friends with iPhones do this at bars when they first arrive. I want to chuck those things in a fire. Sit, leave it alone for 2 seconds, and watch as conversation naturally unfolds.

    It lights me up when someone at a table of friends starts twaddling with their goddamn phone.
    If we’re boring you, leave and make room for someone more likely to contribute to the fun.
