these two were thick as thieves until I moved out of my parents’ house and took the kitteh with me. Now he thinks he’s a dog.

Yes! My parents have two of the darling beasties. Likewise, the kitten was one of twins; they’re 3 now.

No, but he growls at the door whenever he hears somebody outside. And he begs shamelessly, like a dog would. He is so un-catlike compared to his brother, considering they grew up together.

I learned the hard way that I have to kennel my dog and cat together. It’s hard to find a kennel that’ll do that too. They eat, play and sleep together. It cracks me up, he’s a big black dopey 117lb dog and she’s a 5.5lb deaf white cat. He’s afraid of her. He apparently has not realized she’s declawed.
