Not some dude but some chick and the entire story was busted on snopes as a fake. Search Fu to weak to bring link to article. I’m sure someone else will provide it.
Apparently the story about riding a bike through Chernobyl is fake, as they allow neither bikes nor unescorted individuals through the area.
However it appears that the writer did actually visit most of the sites mentioned, as part of a commercial tour.
