    Microbes made all those colors!

In a way it sucks, bc it doesn’t look like that in person. You have to be in like a helicopter or something to see it best.

The fact that it is a supervolcano and is overdue for its next eruption worries me. But I don’t live in the US, so it doesn’t worry me as much as it should worry many of the users of this site.

I’ve been there five times, and have made three back country hikes. It is an AMAZING place. My next trip there will be by canoe to Shoshone Geyser Basin.

Old Faithful is nice- but it isn’t even close to the most impressive geysers there.

This is a must see place. The first national park in the history of the world… for a reason.

The Grand Prismatic Spring, pictured, is huge. It’s very hard to see when you walk by it. However, if you take the nearby trail to Fairy Falls, you can scramble up the hill and get a great view of it from there. I got a great photo of it from there.
