      • Evolution is proving to be much more complex than just the idea that individuals spread their own genes to the next generation.

The risk taker for instance? What good is having a genetic predisposition to being reckless….to be less likely to live long enough to pass on your genes…? Turns out, that when the tribe is in trouble, it is a good idea to have a few guys around who don’t think twice about risking their necks.
        Evolution manages to do this.

So what is the evolutionary role of homosexuals? It could be the dissemination of culture. Homosexual (males at least) are very over represented in the arts…fine arts, music, writing, performing arts. Maybe tribes with more highly developed artistic culture tend to succeed more.
Maybe evolution manages to make sure there are few artsie (homosexual) types to bolster culure…and make the tribe more competitive…

Think about that the next time you air guitar to Bohemian Rhapsody….

    2. No it isn’t. You should look it up, in some other sources than you’re using now.

Yes I do, but like I’ve said in that other post, I don’t really care about figuring out what author had in mind. That’s the said authors “duty”.

    3. Wikipedia:

A tribe is viewed, developmentally or historically, as a social group existing before the development of, or outside of, states. A tribe is a group of distinct people, dependent on their land for their livelihood, who are largely self-sufficient, and not integrated into the national society. It is perhaps the term most readily understood and used by the general public.
