Glass Onion: Directed by Rian Johnson. With Daniel Craig, Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn. Famed Southern detective Benoit Blanc travels to Greece for his latest case.

I can see why they made another movie in this franchise, though the director’s assertion that he didn’t want to include the franchise name of “Knives Out” in title is just plain silly to me. I would never have known it was another Benoit Blanc mystery if not for the subtitle, so I’m happy that someone either convinced him to have it there or straight up overruled him.

If you enjoyed the first film you’ll likely enjoy this one, though the mystery is much less mysterious and I honestly didn’t think the detective in the first film was the main character or even in the top five of the main cast, so it was interesting to me that he’s in much more of a central position in Glass Onion. It works for the most part, but it’s easily passed over for something like Invisible Maniac if you’re looking for true entertainment.
