This 2015 Sundance Film Festival breakout documentary from producer Rashida Jones spotlights the “amateur” porn industry and the women it exploits.

Follows a young woman as she gets into, then quickly out of, video pornography. It’s a good look at her journey and points out some inconsistencies in America’s moral compass.

Voltron Legendary Defender Season 5 review

voltron legendary defender 5 Voltron: Legendary Defender Season 5

In an all-new series, five unlikely heroes and their flying robot lions unite to form the megapowerful Voltron and defend the universe from evil.

Voltron: Legendary Defender continues to be the best version of Voltron and among the best scripted animation I’ve seen since Avatar: The Last Airbender.

    The Tick Season 1b review

the tick amazon The Tick Season 1b

In a world where superheroes have been real for decades, an accountant with mental health issues and zero powers comes to suspect his city is owned by a global super villain long-thought dead. As he struggles to uncover the conspiracy, he falls in league with a strange blue superhero. They launch into an adventure brimming with crazed archvillains, blood-soaked vigilantes, and superhuman freakery.

Amazon finally got around to releasing the second half of the first season of their reboot of The Tick franchise. There’s a better plot line in the second half and the actors seem to finally be getting into their roles, but man I did not remember much from the first half of the season.

    Level 90 Kenny Young WonderWorlds

wonder worlds Level 90: Kenny Young (WonderWorlds)Kenny Young‘s music for WonderWorlds is fabulous. Don’t be fooled by the first track, though; there are a handful of worlds in which you can build your games. WonderWorlds has thousands of user-created levels, it’s an iOS game, it’s adorable, free-to-play, etc.

But we’re here to talk about the music, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. The acoustic vibe you get from the first track, “WonderWorlds,” is pretty different from the new wave synth you’ll hear by the fourth track, “Sparksville, NJ.”

“Somethin’ In My Eye” is a straight-up song, and it quickly ascended the list of my favorite Kenny Young tracks. It’s him singing, and he plays about a trillion instruments over the course of the score. You’ll get to hear a lot of lovely details in this track, little flurries of synth instruments. And the groove is nice ?

    Thanks for being awesome, Kenny!

    Everything Sucks review

    7b8c2bc5c10a0efe463f2f0cfca12323e47527b7 Everything Sucks

In 1990s Oregon, members of a high school A/V club clash with the drama club.

Oddly enough, this goes out of it’s way to show that not everything sucks. I enjoyed the first season and look forward to seeing more.

    Christopher Robin

1n7ragki7zj01 692x1024 Christopher RobinIn the heartwarming live action adventure “Disney’s Christopher Robin,” the young boy who embarked on countless adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood with his band of spirited and lovable stuffed animals, has grown up and lost his way. Now it is up to his childhood friends to venture into our world and help Christopher Robin remember the loving and playful boy who is still inside.

Christopher Robin is stuck in a job where he is overworked, underpaid and facing an uncertain future. He has a family of his own, but his work has become his life, leaving little time for his wife and daughter, and he has all but forgotten his idyllic childhood spent with a simple-minded, honey-loving stuffed bear and his friends. But when he is reunited with Winnie the Pooh, now tattered and soiled from years of hugs and play, a spark is rekindled, and he is reminded of the endless days of childlike wonder and make believe that defined his youth, when doing nothing could be considered something. Following an unfortunate mishap with Christopher Robin’s briefcase, Pooh and the rest of the gang including Piglet, Eeyore and Tigger, step out of the forest and into London to return the crucial possessions…because best friends will always be there for you.
