“Cherry” Review

Cherry: Directed by Anthony Russo, Joe Russo. With Tom Holland, Ciara Bravo, Jack Reynor, Michael Rispoli. Cherry drifts from college dropout to army medic in Iraq – anchored only by his true love, Emily. But after returning from the war with PTSD, his life spirals into drugs and crime as he struggles to find his place in the world.

IIRC, the reviews for this one weren’t all that forgiving, but I found “Cherry” to be a enthralling look into how someone goes from a normal city boy to something much worse, all because of one decision made in heat of an emotional moment. The story is strong, the acting is great, and I’m happy to have been introduced to Ciara Bravo.
