I don't think anyone said that every soldier was like that. But there is evidence that some do that kind of stuff. What I personnally find most disgusting is the attempts at cover-up and protecting the fuckers who fired in a crowd.

'cause American soldiers have never raped anyone, or bombed any train stations.

Yeaaaah no. Best equipped, probably, and even that's not a guarantee. Hardest working, I think it's cute you think of them like that, but it doesn't actually mean anything. Most professional, certainly not, if only because it's a massive bureaucracy and has severely lowered its recruiting standards just to keep up with two major occupation wars. Highest trained, once again, no. Look for the British, the Chinese, even the French for that.

The accuracy of the Bible? Dude. It claims that insects have four legs.

Yes, because someone who's handle is Goebbels is genuinely interested in honest discussion.

Yeah, that's cause... it's actually what science has found after extensive testing. The idea of evolution as a tree works, but only if every single living species is a leaf, and all at the same hight (since they've survived until now).

You guys realise this was done by "cashmods", not casemods.

It was built in my home town. Provided jobs for years, all so rich people could do small circles around caribbean islands and be sold overpriced junk. Eh, why not?

The gangway collapse was a real tragedy: it mostly killed the families of people who'd worked on the ship and were visiting it for the first time.

Building that made an entire town (Saint-Nazaire, where I was born) pretty much survive another few years.
  • Comment on € for Europe (2009-04-03 12:05:23)
@Hob: Not so ironic, really. Guns are a European invention, and the revolver was invented by a European (James Puckle, an Englishman). As for violence, I reckon at least as much of European history has been spent at war as American history, and ours is waaaay longer. Most of American civilisation is European, including warfare. Sure, we haven't fought you much. Only 1812 springs to mind, all your other wars against Europeans also featured other Europeans on your side - hell, the French basically won your Independence War for you. But beyond that, no, it's not really ironic. But I'll admit the "Americans as victims" doesn't really work either.
