I’m pretty sure that vote buying is illegal within the USA, but this specific instance is okay because anything to get rid of the Bad Orange Man™.

This wasn’t vote buying, it was paying for the illegal poll tax that Florida enacted immediately after the citizens voted to allow people that did their time in prison to vote.

so no meaningful penalty for not paying fines or court costs then? That’s great! I’ll have to remember that next time I do excessive speeding in Florida.

please do, it would be insane to take away your right to vote or your second amendment rights just because of something you did 10 years ago.

Taking away second amendment rights after getting out of the clink for Murder or Manslaughter? *clutches pearls*. Oh the humanity! I never thought I’d see the day a Leftist comes out against gun control.

Seriously, requiring ex-felons to pay their court fines before getting rights restored seems totally reasonable to me. Punishment for crimes is often more than simply doing time.

how have you been around here this long and not known I have a hard on for long guns?

paying new costs after someone gets out of prison is what we’re talking about here, not restitution payments as part of a sentence. the amendment that we voted on, and passed, was that after the sentencing requirements were fulfilled, the citizens should have their rights returned to them.

court costs , LOL , when the court wants you to pay for locking you up.
