Evacuations ordered at Florida building deemed unsafe not far from site of Surfside collapse

A structural engineering firm said it had found excessive “deflection” — or sagging — in concrete slabs on the North Miami Beach building’s second and third floors.

    That’s what happens when a building is built by the lowest bidder so someone can pocket the rest of the money.

    Building Codes? Building Inspectors? Meh, who needs ’em? Just more government interference in free enterprise. Let the Free Market decide which buildings stand, and which fall!
